This concept car won the 'Best Use of Technology Award' in the 2006 Interior Motives Design Awards. This auto was Designed by Alexey Bykov, a student of the Ural State Academy of Arts and Architecture in Russia. The theory behind the Audi Quattroflex concept was to create a future vehicle which displayed "Emotion in Motion", and the similarity between the Quattroflex and olden-day horseless carriages was entirely intentional. The Quattroflex is composed of an open carriage manufactured from flexible materials set between front and back cylinders that serve to house the mechanics. And, rather than being controlled by a conventional steering wheel, the Quattroflex is driven using a joystick set in the centre of the vehicle – which cleverly allows for both left and right hand drive without modification.
